The Nutcracker
Every winter holiday season, dancers of the Interplay Dance Company and Profile Dance Company delight audiences with their splendid performances of excerpts from The Nutcracker and Mixed Program. The Company is privileged to have the opportunity to perform this spectacular holiday show at the Betty Oliphant Theatre, owned by the National Ballet School of Canada. Performances are also held at local schools and throughout the community.
Auditions for The Nutcracker are held each September during Intensive Program and Interplay Dance Company auditions.
The Nutcracker and Mixed Program 2014 performance will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2014: The Nutcracker at 11:30 a.m. Mixed Program at 2:30 p.m. Come and spend an afternoon where you will be transported into a magical world by Tchaikovsky's beloved melodies. Watch as Clara, her family, and friends enjoy a Christmas party--where toys come alive, mischievous mice besiege a battalion of soldiers, and beautiful snowflake maidens dance. Whether it's a first-time experience or an annual treat, don't miss this wonderful holiday show!
